ICE releases more information regarding Sunday’s raid in Montpelier

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released more information regarding Sunday’s raid in Montpelier, in which eight “unlawful residents” were detained. According to information released by ICE to The Bryan Times Wednesday, the eight individuals were all men between the ages of 24 and 50. Seven were from Mexico and one was from Honduras. The Williams County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted with the “targeted” investigation, had initially reported to The Times that seven individuals were detained. The raid took place at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bridgewater Dairy in rural Montpelier. Williams County Sheriff Steve Towns has emphasized the business is under no investigation of fault or association in the matter.
