Sharon L. Pierce, age 68, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:58 A.M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Sharon was a homemaker and member of Grace Community Church. She loved to crochet prayer blankets for the church, sew, do counted cross stitch, cook and especially spend time with her grandkids.
Sharon was born on July 18, 1948, in Fremont, Ohio, the daughter of Harvey E. and Donelda M. (Mansfield) Speakman. She was a graduate of Edgerton High School. Sharon married Ronald E. Pierce and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1988.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Neil) Ames, of Montpelier and Dawn (Riley) Bowman, of Hanover, Michigan; five grandchildren, Ashley, Gunner and Courtney Ames and Daisy and Dixie Bowman; step-sister, Kay Armstrong, of Clear Lake, Indiana and step brother, Rick Beck of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, James and Walter Speakman.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan and one hour prior to the funeral service at church. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday May 16th at Grace Community Church, 206 West Bement Street, Bryan with Pastor Sam Byroads officiating.
