BRYAN GETTING NEW LIGHT POLES

Some enlightening news for Bryan…

On Tuesday, the Bryan Board of Public Affairs approved the purchase of new, modern styled, aluminum streetlight poles at a cost of $748 each. The new poles will replace the old, outdated poles on South Main Street.

The Bryan Times reports 27 poles will be replaced but the project probably won’t get underway until sometime in November because of delays in delivery of the new poles.

The current light fixtures will be removed from the old poles and remounted on the new poles.
