Henry County man facing a felony abduction charges

A Henry County man is facing a felony abduction charge following an alleged incident that took place Saturday evening in Hancock County. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office was contacted about 30 year old Joseph Burns of Deshler who was allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will while driving her vehicle on Saturday evening in the Hancock County area. The victim, also from Henry County, was reportedly able to send a text message to a family member about the situation. Burns also allegedly struck the female in the head and threatened to kill them both while they were in the vehicle. The car was eventually stopped on Lima Avenue in Findlay where Burns was taken into custody.
