Folks in Paulding County looking for a break in natural disasters

Folks in Paulding County are saying “enough already” and could use a break from natural disasters about now. In the last two weeks, the county has suffered from strong straight line winds and flooding in the Payne, Paulding and Oakwood areas. The Paulding County commissioners had initially declared a state of emergency on May 18, following straight line wind and storm damage in the county. That declaration was lifted on May 22, but then flooding rushed into the area. Flooding prompted a second emergency declaration on May 25, which was still in effect Wednesday morning.
