Hawkey Appeal Case Update

Bond is at $3 million in Defiance County for a local woman whose murder conviction from 2013 was reversed last year in an appeal. Judith Hawkey was charged for murder, endangering children and insurance fraud and sentenced to life in prison. Hawkey had been held in state prison since her conviction, but has been returned to the jail near Stryker, while her case is pending again. Her trial is set for Feb. 5, 2018.
