The inmate on work release, who failed to return to the Noble County Jail is back in custody. Fort Wayne Police located Duane Mayfield at a hotel on West Coliseum Boulevard, in the company of Kelsey Parks of Kendallville. Mayfield was taken to the Noble County Jail, where he faces a new charge of failure to return to lawful detention. He took off after an appointment on Tuesday. His list of priors includes drug offenses and auto theft.
