Ohio unemployment rose slightly in July. The rate ended the month at 5.2 percent, rising from 5 percent in June. The state did see job growth despite the slip, adding a net 1,600 jobs. The number of unemployed workers moved from 291,000 in June to 300,000 in July and the number of unemployed has increased by 19,000 since July 2016, when the rate was at 4.9 percent.
