Clifford Burton St. John, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at his home. Mr. St. John was a farmer early in his life and also worked at several factories. He retired from Fore-Craft/Sauder in Archbold after more than 25 years of service. Mr. St. John was a member of Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church in West Unity where he was a Deacon and served many years as a chorister.
Clifford B. St. John was born on March 10, 1927 in Bryan, the son of Samuel and Felicia “Nellie” (Clapper) St. John. He graduated from Bryan High School and worked in several Civilian Public Service camps during World War II. He married Marcella Tate on May 6, 1950, and she survives.
Survivors also include his sons, Dennis (Donna) St. John, of Bryan and Ricky (Anna) St. John, of Archbold; daughters, Marsha (Gordon) Jamison and Connie (Lee) Reed, both of Quinter, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; siblings, Marjorie (Harley) Flory, of Stryker, Edwin (Mattie) St. John, of Pioneer and Dean (Nancy) St. John, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Viola “Ruth” Kleinhen and sister-in-law, Clara St. John.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church with Pastor Tom St. John officiating. Burail will follow at Shiffler Cemetery.
