LOCAL BUSINESSWOMAN DIES

A well known local busi­ness per­son has died.

The Bryan Times is report­ing that 93 year old Helen Pence of Bryan, the woman who owned Pence’s Con­ces­sions for nearly 50 years, died Sun­day after a brief ill­ness.

Helen Pence worked as owner and oper­a­tor of the family-owned com­pany, which has been around since the 1900s, from 1948 until 2006.

Pence was also active in the com­mu­nity and in com­mu­nity orga­ni­za­tions.
