WORLDS LONGEST YARD SALE COMING

It’s been called “The World’s Longest Yard Sale” and a good chunk of it takes place in Williams County start­ing Thurs­day.

August first through August fourth, the huge yard sale, which started back in 1987 on only a small stretch of road­way, now winds along U.S. 127 with ven­dors set up over the course of a 690-mile route run­ning through five states from Michi­gan to Alabama.

In Bryan, the event also coin­cides with the city’s annual side­walk sales, which this year are being held this Sat­ur­day, August third, until 3 p.m.

By the way, Bryan does not require a city garage sale per­mit for the US-127 Longest Yard Sale.
