New FDHS Head

There’s a new director at the Fort Defiance Humane Society. Stacie Fedderke, the county’s humane agent started this week. Fedderke replaces Josh O’Hara, who recently resigned. Right now, the animal shelter the humane society operates on Ohio 15, northwest of Defiance, remains closed for general business hours…as an investigation into the agency’s finances continues by the county sheriff’s office. The shelter is still taking dogs from the public and county dog warden…cats have not been accepted from the public since June.
