In a surprise announcement, Senator, Cliff Hite, who’s district includes Williams County, submitted his resignation late Monday. Hite, from Findlay, was a one-time Bryan High School teacher and coach. He was appointed to the Senate in 2011. He is the current chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee. The Republican Senate Caucus is expected to announce an application process for selecting a replacement to the 1st Senate District seat by the end of the week.
