Robert William Lambert, age 76, of Ney, Ohio, passed away quickly in the woods, doing what he enjoyed, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his residence. Robert retired from Johns Manville in 1999 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed farming, traveling, spending time with family and an occasional game of Blackjack. Bob loved watching his grandkids compete in their various sporting events, cheering for the Fairview Apaches, Bryan Golden Bears, Archbold Bluestreaks and Brunswick Blue Devils.
Robert W. Lambert was born on August 14, 1936 in Ney, the son of Albert and Dorothy (Welsh) Lambert. He married Mary Louise Shock on February 23, 1963 and she survives.
Survivors also include his children, Alicia (Brian) Laffin, of Brunswick, Ohio, Bob (Stacy) Lambert, of Ney, Russ (Dorothy) Lambert, of Archbold, Corey (Dawn) Lambert, of Bryan, Amanda (DJ) Curry, of Ney and Anna (Tyson) Mock, of Bryan; grandchildren, Mason, Gunner, Logan, Jorja, Julia and Codey Lambert, Brandon and Tyler Laffin, Damon Coressel and Dallas Curry, Megan Pena and Katie Mock, Taylor Lipp; two great-grandsons, Adrian Lipp and Brody Lambert; two sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Murphy and Mary Lou (Roger) Demland, both of Defiance; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Dan and Jill Barnard, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Maddy Lambert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013, from 10:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday in the funeral home with Deacon Dennis C. Jackson officiating.
