An attempt by a former Henry County commissioner to have a felony conviction removed from his record is denied. Richard Myers, who served as commissioner from 2006-2012, was convicted of having an unlawful interest in a public contract in a 2013 case in Henry County. Due to the incident, the state froze the revolving loan fund and the Henry County commissioners paid $300,000 from the county’s general fund, so the state would unfreeze it.
