Fatal Crash In Defiance

One is dead in a two-vehicle collision in Defiance. Ruben Torres was driving north through the 900 block of South Clinton Street when his car traveled left of center and turned sideways. A southbound van, driven by Raymond Gentile of Toledo, hit Torres’ vehicle. Gentile’s van rolled onto its side. Torres and his passenger, Debra Torres had to be cut out of their wrecked vehicle. Both were taken to Defiance Regional…where Debra Torres died. Ruben Torres was flown to Toledo Hospital in critical condition. Gentile was taken to Defiance Regional with minor injuries. He was treated and released. The accident remains under investigation.
