The sixth annual Lights for Lives effort will be observed this week, focusing on saving lives over the upcoming holiday season. Lights for Lives is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional, cooperative enforcement campaign, focused on officers activating their overhead lights in response to dangerous driving behaviors…and saving as many lives as possible. The campaign will run through Wednesday. Last year during this same time period, five people from northwest Ohio lost their lives in car crashes. During this enforcement period, officers from agencies in the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Findlay district, will be looking for seat belts and looking out for impaired and distracted drivers.
