Three people are hurt in a two car crash in Coldwater Township. 21 year old Megan Bretschneider was driving east on Chicago Road near Lott Road, when she went into the westbound lane. 38 year old Christopher Smith was driving west and was not able to avoid the head on crash. Smith was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment. His passenger, 35 year old Jamie Smith was pinned in the vehicle. She was removed by the Coldwater Fire Department and flown to Samaritan Hospital in Fort Wayne. Bretschneider was flown to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. No word on anyone’s condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash…it remains under investigation.
