Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over runs from Aug. 16 to Sept. 2nd.
The Williams County Sheriff says that this summer, Williams County has experienced an increase in impaired driving violations, including several fatal-alcohol related crashes. There has also been an increase in OVI citations, may including unusually high blood alcohol levels.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers will be out in force to stop impaired drivers before and during the Labor Day holiday.
The Bryan Times reports that last year, troopers from the Defiance Post got 16 impaired drivers off the road during the campaign. Their goal is to increase patrols even more this year.
