Marijuana Nixed In Defiance Again

A Fort Wayne businessman withdraws his proposal to open a marijuana dispensary in Defiance. Jamie Ridenour had hoped to open the business on Tuendawie St. Last week, council had discussed reversing the ban against medicinal marijuana facilities it had passed in December and agreed, 4-3, to bring legislation making the change. However, At-large Councilman Dave Plant indicated that after meeting with law director, Sean O’Donnell during the past week, that there was not enough time to bring the legislation forward in a timely manner.
