Diana M. (Rohrs) Beverly, age 68, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 6:58 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mrs. Beverly was a 1967 graduate of Edgerton High School and then graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Following graduation she was employed by IPFW, where she was the secretary to the dean of education. She would later be employed as the school secretary for St. Mary Catholic School in Edgerton, retiring after thirty-two and a half years of service. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, serving on the parish council, of which she was a past president, was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and for many years decorated the church for the Christmas holidays. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Diana enjoyed cooking, baking, making candy for the Christmas holidays, gardening, decorating for holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, and enjoyed vacationing at Disney World with the whole family. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed the year she home schooled her granddaughter.
Diana Marie Beverly was born on May 10, 1949, in Garrett, Indiana, the daughter of Paul L. and Evadna M. (Thiel) Rohrs. She married Robert D. Beverly, Jr. on December 27, 1969, in Edgerton and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Lisa (Dean) Thiel, of Edgerton; one son, Jason Beverly, of Butler, Indiana; three grandchildren, Noah Beverly and Elizabeth and Felicity Thiel; two sisters, Sharon (Kim) Carpenter, of Bryan, Ohio, and Carolyn Rohrs, of Mansfield, Ohio; one brother, Chuck (Alice) Rohrs, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.
