The Ohio Highway Patrol’s Defiance post is investigating a crash involving two pedestrians that occurred Monday morning on Openlander Road.
According to the patrol, a vehicle described as “possibly being a white pick-up truck” went off of the right side of the roadway and hit the two pedestrians and a dog at 7:12 Monday morning.
37 year old Pheobie Hanover and 45 year old Christine Miller, both of Sherwood, sustained “minor injuries” and were taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital according to the state patrol.
The driver took off, headed southbound on Openlander Road. Police say there may be damage to the truck on the left, right and front bumper and grill area.
