HIT AND RUN

The Ohio High­way Patrol’s Defi­ance post is inves­ti­gat­ing a crash involv­ing two pedes­tri­ans that occurred Mon­day morn­ing on Open­lan­der Road.

Accord­ing to the patrol, a vehi­cle described as “pos­si­bly being a white pick-up truck” went off of the right side of the road­way and hit the two pedes­tri­ans and a dog at 7:12 Mon­day morn­ing.

37 year old Pheo­bie Hanover and 45 year old Chris­tine Miller, both of Sher­wood, sus­tained “minor injuries” and were taken to ProMed­ica Defi­ance Regional Hos­pi­tal accord­ing to the state patrol.

The dri­ver took off, headed south­bound on Open­lan­der Road. Police say there may be dam­age to the truck on the left, right and front bumper and grill area.
