Although five names for Bryan’s Board of Pub­lic Affairs are on the Nov. 5 bal­lot, only four can­di­dates are still in the race. The Bryan Times is report­ing that Incum­bent Bill Yahraus has with­drawn, due to health rea­sons.\

The remain­ing can­di­dates for BPA include Karen Ford, Richard Long, Jim Sals­bury and Mary Burns.

Incum­bent Mayor Dou­glas John­son is run­ning for a fourth term.

All seven were asked how they intended to vote on Issue 6, the 7.45-mill bond issue to raise $32,767,891 for new school facil­i­ties in Bryan.

All four BPA can­di­dates declined to giv an answer.
