CRASH WITH INJURIES

The Ohio Highway Patrol says three people were injured, at least one of them seriously, when a car and a pickup collided at an intersection in Defiance County’s Washington Township Saturday.

22 year old Darius Peterson of Defiance, the driver of the car, and 68 year old Earl Polter of Sherwood, the driver of the pickup, were taken to the hospital in Bryan.

Darrin Polter, a passenger in the pickup, was flown to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne

The Peterson car was eastbound on State Rt. 249 at U.S. 127 when he failed to yield at a stop sign to the Polter pickup, which was southbound on the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
