A lightning strike Sunday afternoon knocked out the Williams County 911 Central dispatch center, shutting down the county’s radio network and taking all the computers there off line for about 45 minutes.
It happened when the bolt hit just before 5:25 yesterday afternoon.
By about 6pm, the primary line was back up, but the system crashed again before finally being re-booted and back on-line.
Other than disruptions to some communications, no injuries were reported.
