Two people are hurt when a car leaves Interstate 69 and hits the cable barrier in the median in DeKalb County…along the southbound lanes, near the 327 mile marker, south of Auburn. Officials tell reporters Meriam Kent, 43, of Indianapolis thought she saw an object in the roadway. Kent swerved. That’s when the vehicle goes off the road…into the barrier. Kent was taken to the hospital with a complaint of neck pain. A passenger in her vehicle…25-year-old Imari Jones…was also hospitalized with shoulder pain. Another passenger in the car was not hurt. The vehicle is totaled.
