A New Way To Get Licensed

Many Ohioans will be able to renew their driver’s licenses or state IDs, online…instead of at state motor vehicle offices…under a measure in the state’s new transportation budget. Eligible for the new program?…people, 21 to 65…whose current licenses or IDs were issued in person. A July 2022 launch is planned. The change is included in the state’s $8.3 billion dollar budget, signed into law by Gov., DeWine. The budget, approved every two years, includes $2.4 billion dollars for roadway improvements, $74 million for public transportation, and $8 million in grants for electric charging stations.
