The U.S. Geological Survey is continuing to study the groundwater in the tri-state area, but is still several years away from making projections concerning the ongoing AquaBounty project in Pioneer. Members of the Survey updated the Ohio Michigan Indiana Council of Governments during their meeting Monday afternoon. OMI, formed in 2019, consists of one commissioner from each of nine counties in the tri-state area that share the underground aquifer.
