New Walkway Approved

The Fountain City Amphitheater is getting a new lighted walkway. The Bryan City Council approved a $129 thousand dollar contract with Rupp Contracting that will connect the Imagination Station parking lot with the pedestrian path on the east side of the park. The goal is to have the project done by late September or early October, officials say. Most of the project is being paid for through a $125,000 dollar state grant. The 12-foot-wide path will wind from the Jaycee Pavilion to the site of the former Washington Elementary School.
