Williams County commissioners hear updates on a strategy being worked on to help at-risk families.

The Williams County commissioners hear updates on a development strategy being worked on for communities, as well as a program to help at-risk families. Mikayla Mueller of the Maumee Valley Planning Organization informed the board of a Community Development Implementation Strategy project list it will be starting. MVPO will use the project list, once filled out by communities, to connect those communities to resources that might be able to help with those projects. Mueller said a similar project list has been used by MVPO in the past, but the group wants to streamline it. She added this could help smaller communities that don’t have the manpower to keep an eye out for such resources. Instead, MVPO will have the list and be able to keep those in mind as resource opportunities present themselves.
