Murder-Suicide In Defiance

An investigation in Defiance County is underway today into an apparent murder-suicide involving four people.

Defiance County Sheriff David Westrick released information that says officers were called to the Robert Garza residence on Bowman Road last night around 8:30 after three adults and a juvenile were found dead inside that home.

Officials say a family member stopped by to check on them, and discovered his mother, father, sister, and a niece all dead.

Investigators are now looking at it as a triple-murder and suicide.

The bodies of Robert Garza Sr.; his wife, Christine; his daughter, Zoila Garza and granddaughter, Rebecca Garza were all found in the house.

Now, investigators believe that Robert Garza Sr was responsible for the deaths.

Investigators will not say how the family died, only that they all died in the same way and not all the victims were found in the same room of the house.

The case remains under investigation today, with more details to be released as that investigation progresses.
