Man is rescued from the sunroof of his car following accident in rural DeKalb County

A man is rescued from the sunroof of his car following an accident in rural DeKalb County on C.R. 64. A preliminary investigation concludes that Sheldon Shearer was westbound in the 8100 block when his car left the roadway. The vehicle came to a rest on its side in a field on the south side of the roadway. Concord fire personnel handled the call. Shearer was taken to Parkview DeKalb for care. Officials think alcohol is a factor in the accident. The post-crash investigation continues by both state and local officials.
