State Patrol investigating injury crash Monday in Defiance County.

The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash involving a commercial vehicle and a passenger car. The crash occurred Monday at approximately 5:15pm, at the intersection of Mansfield Road and Schubert Road.

A flatbed trailer, operated by 45 year old Eugene Anderson, of Gary, Indiana, was travelling westbound on Mansfield Road, and failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 17 year old Braxton Wolff, of Continental. After the impact, the Wolff vehicle caught on fire on the road side.

Anderson was transported from the scene by Ayersville EMS tp Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Braxton Wolff was transported from the scene by Defiance EMS and taken  to Promedica Defiance Regional Hospital with serious injuries. A passenger in the Wolff vehicle, 21 year old Brenden Wollf, of Continental, was flown from the scene by Mercy Life Flight to St. Vincent’s in Toledo with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
