Jerry Brian Wonderly, 67

Jerry Brian Wonderly, 67, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Vancrest of Hicksville.  Jerry was born May 18, 1957, in Hicksville, son of the late Donal L. and Betty K. (Schuller) Wonderly.  He was a 1975 graduate of Hicksville High School, where he excelled in sports, especially on the football field.  Jerry was a skilled problem-solver, which undoubtedly helped him in his career as a mechanic at Jim Schmidt Chevrolet, and at the former Bud Laub Chevrolet.  He loved sports, enjoyed attending family gatherings, and spending time with his cat, Herbie.  Jerry will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and for his gentle heart towards animals and children.

Surviving are his four siblings, Pamela Jo Diehl of Hicksville, Elizabeth “Jane” Craig of Pomeroy, Ohio, Catherine Jean (Gary) Bradshaw of Hicksville, and twin brother, Victor Paul (Kathleen) Wonderly of Hicksville; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David Donal Wonderly; and an infant sister, Beth Ann Wonderly.

To honor Jerry’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
