Sgt. Jeremy Viers of the Bryan Police Department Friday was named the Williams County Top Cop Award winner. Viers, who has been nominated several times in the past, grew up in Montpelier and graduated cum laude from Defiance College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He had been with the Bryan Police Department for 25 years and has been assigned to the Multi-Area Narcotics (M.A.N.) Unit two different times.
