Carl R. Saylor, 83

Carl R. Saylor 83 years of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at his residence. Carl was born June 20, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Floyd R. and Iris G. (Fisher) Saylor. He was a 1959 graduate of Central High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He married Phyllis K. Malone on January 25, 1960, in Fort Wayne, and she survives. Carl worked as a manager at Villa Lanes in Decatur. He and Phyllis then purchased Laredo Lanes in Butler, where they operated the bowling alley for 10 years. Carl was an avid bowler and enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing. He trained hunting dogs and loved spending time outdoors.

 

Surviving is his wife Phyllis of Hamilton; one son, Scott (Kay) Saylor of Butler, Indiana; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kevin Saylor, one daughter, Dawn Bleeke and his son-in-law, Rick Bleeke.

 

There will be no visitation or services. Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hamilton, Indiana.
