Road and street crews in Defiance County are getting ready for the winter season. To make that happen the City of Defiance has 1,000 tons of salt on hand while said Defiance County has 2,000 tons and the entity that needs the most – the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) Defiance County garage, which handles state and federal routes – has a full load of 5,400 tons.
