Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has sent a nine-person fire management team from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to assist with the ongoing wildfires in California. The team, which is part of ODNR’s Division of Forestry, left from Columbus Friday and is headed to Beaumont, California, where they’ll be briefed on their assignment. Their resources include protective gear, chainsaws, hand tools and other essential firefighting supplies.
