For a forthcoming legal action in Michigan, the commissioners of Williams County decided on Tuesday to hire outside counsel. Following an executive session with Williams County Prosecutor Katherine Zartman, Williams County Job and Family Services Director Christie Roan and County Administrator Vond Hall to discuss pending or imminent legal action, it was decided to allow JFS to employ legal counsel licensed in Michigan to represent JFS in a specific case.
The legal counsel’s income will come from the general treasury and cannot go over the county prosecutor’s annual salary.
