Fire early Monday morning in Paulding.

A fire early Monday morning in Paulding heavily damaged a vacant residence on the village’s northside. Paulding firefighters were called to 12035 Royer Ave. at 12:10 a.m. Monday, finding flames coming through the home’s roof. Fire damage was extensive to the attic area, and damage resulted throughout the home from water and smoke. Yellow security tape had been placed on the home Monday as it was severely damaged. Part of the one-story residence’s roof caved in during the fire. It took firefighters about four hours to get the blaze cleared.
