The Office of the Ohio Inspector General earlier this month submitted its 2024 report to Gov. Mike DeWine and the 136th Ohio General Assembly which highlights the agency’s ongoing efforts to investigate and prevent fraud, waste, abuse and corruption within Ohio’s executive branch. The report states the OIG received 396 complaints through various channels, including email, mail, fax and phone. Of these, 28 cases were opened, and 22 cases were closed. The investigations resulted in the identification of $14.57 million in monetary losses, 64 criminal charges, and 57 recommendations for policy and procedural improvements.
