Hicksville Village Council met recently and discussed the sale of property no longer wanted by the village. In a 3-3 decision with Mayor Mike Barth casting the deciding vote, council approved the sale of two properties that will be put up for auction. One is a property on Oak Park that had been left at the center of a circle within a housing development. The area had been left without a house with the idea of putting a mini-park there in the past, however, this never developed and now costs the village to maintain the empty lot.
