Local contractor accused of taking money without doing work sentenced.

A local contractor accused of taking money from customers but not completing promised work was recently sentenced in Henry County Common Pleas Court. 26 year old Joseph R. Schlosser, of Defiance, doing business as Building With Faith Construction, previously pleaded guilty to one count of attempted engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, amended from engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Schlosser was sentenced to four days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and five years of community control. He was also ordered to pay a total of $154,644.57 in restitution to six victims, with a $1,000 payment ordered first and then $500 per month until it’s paid in full.
