Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) troopers will begin enforcing ground and air resources to monitor speeding in Ohio Turnpike work zones. A press release from the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission and the OSHP states there were 252 crashes in Ohio Turnpike work zones in 2025 thus far. Additionally, 1,666 citations have been issued in turnpike work zones, 16% of which were for 20-plus miles per hour over the speed limit. “A single traffic violation in a work zone – such as speeding or distracted driving – can have serious consequences,” said Sgt.
