Bryan Council approves permit for new structure at Amtrak station.

Bryan City Council has approved a building permit for construction of a new structure at the Amtrak station. The permit application states that plans call for a 1,000 square-foot building estimated to cost $4.6 million. The project is being funded through federal dollars and no money from the city is being used. Crews recently started working on the site and have been digging the foundation area for the platform.
