An Edon man was indicted by a Williams County grand jury recently on a charge of felonious assault. 33 year old Zachary S. McCague, faces the first-degree felony charge, along with a charge of failure to comply with an order of a police officer, a third-degree felony, vandalism, aggravated possession of drugs, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. A $100,000 cash bond was set. It is alleged on Dec. 6th, McCague attempted to cause physical harm to a deputy sheriff by means of using a vehicle. It is also alleged that during the incident he ignored the order of an officer to stop. It was noted he has also previously been convicted of ignoring the order of an officer in Fulton County.
