A Putnam County home was seriously damaged by a fire near Continental on Monday afternoon, forcing the residents to flee. At 5:33 p.m., Continental firefighters were dispatched to 19189 County Road A, which is situated just west of the Henry County line and south of the Defiance County line. Monday. Firefighters from Highland Township in Defiance County and Kalida and Miller City in Putnam County joined them. A lithium battery left on a golf cart may have started the fire in an adjoining garage.
