The U.S. Environmental Protection Service’s regional administrator declared on Wednesday that Ohio has been taken off the list of states that do not satisfy EPA clean air criteria, a decision that has taken decades to make. The state has achieved what the EPA refers to as “attainment” with clean air regulations, according to Ann Vogel, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and other officials. For Ohio families, this means that their kids are healthier and businesses in Ohio are therefore more competitive, according to Vogel.
