The 2026-2027 hunting and trapping seasons for migrating birds, furbearers, small game, and white-tailed deer were just approved by the Ohio Wildlife Council.  Deer hunting The 2026-2027 deer hunting seasons are comparable to those of the previous year. No matter where or how it is taken, only one antlered deer may be harvested. 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset is when hunting is permitted. The dates for statewide deer hunting in 2026-2027 are as follows:   Deer archery: Saturday, Sept. 26 to Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027.  Youth deer gun: Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22.  Deer gun: Monday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 6; Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20.  Deer muzzleloader: Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027, to Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2027.
