3 Injured In Head On Crash

A head-on col­li­sion Tues­day morn­ing on U.S. 6 between Bryan and Edger­ton sent three peo­ple to the hos­pi­tal.

It hap­pened yes­ter­day morn­ing just before 7, when the Ohio HIgh­way Patrol says 23 year old Joel Birky of West Unity was dri­ving west on U.S. 6 and 21 year old Alexis Gors of Defi­ance, was dri­ving east.

Birky attempted to pass a tractor-trailer near County Road 7 when their vehi­cles col­lided.

Birky taken to Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tals and Well­ness Centers-Bryan where he was treated and released.

Gors and a front-seat pas­sen­ger, Cody Rochester of Defi­ance, were also taken to the hos­pi­tal, then trans­ferred to Mercy Saint Vin­cent Med­ical Cen­ter in Toledo where they were treated and released.

The Ohio State High­way Patrol says the acci­dent remains under investigation.
